The second line of the Metro has been running limited services since Monday 24 December lasting through Tuesday 1 January on a 9am to 8pm schedule. Travel on the Autopista Duarte Km. 9 along the John F. Kennedy line to Avenida Luperon (Estacion Maria Montez) is free for the holidays. The route takes just under 17 minutes and makes 10 stops on the way. The service uses 15 trains with 45 cars. Passengers connecting to the Villa Mella-Maximo Gomez-Centro de los Heroes line need to pay the RD$20 fare.
