Start to build 3,000 classrooms

The Medina administration is scheduled to launch its classroom-building program today, Thursday 3 January by handing over the first checks for building the first 3,000 of 10,000 classrooms scheduled for construction this year. President Danilo Medina would lead the event at the Presidential Palace that marks the start of the availability of record funding for public pre-school, elementary and secondary education with the Medina administration’s promised allocation of 4% of the GDP to education expenditure.
