The Association of Show Business Writers (Acroarte) with sponsorship from the Presidente beer brewery, Cerveceria Nacional Dominicana, announced the Soberano Awards (former Casandra Awards) would be held on Tuesday, 9 April 2013 at the National Theater in Santo Domingo. This year, the producer of the event that is held in the tradition of the Oscar Awards will once again be Rene Brea, as reported in El Dia. The awards honor the best of the year in many artistic categories.
