Minister of Interior and Police Jose Ramon Fadul has reminded the public that the extended drinking hours of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays ended at midnight of Sunday night. He called on owners and employees of establishments that serve alcoholic beverages to follow the law. The minister told Listin Diario reporters that his inspectors would be renewing their visits and reminded the public that alcohol sales are banned after midnight from Sunday to Thursday and after 2am on Friday and Saturdays. He also noted that the removal of the alcohol beverage sale curfew had been in force since 10 December and that it is now time to get back on schedule.
