With clouds continuing to move across the national territory, pushed by the winds from the east/southeast, the forecast is for light rains in the northeast, southeast, southwest and the Central Mountains. As a result, temperatures will be cooler during the evenings and nights. According to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet), for the next 24 to 48 hours there will be light rains over the northeast and the southeast. In a final note reported in Hoy newspaper, wave activity in the Caribbean was said to be higher than normal and small craft should remain in port. Boats on the north coast are advised to stay near the coastline.
