The Aguilas Cibaenas, which barely made it to the semi-finals, are now leading the Winter Baseball tournament. Last night, thanks to the bat of Miguel Tejada, the Aguilas defeated the Santo Domingo team, Leones del Escogido 12-6 in the Quisqueya Ball Park. A rally of five runs in the ninth inning decided the game. The victory puts the team a step away from being one of the two teams in the playoffs. The Dominican Winter Baseball Championship continues through 17 January.
