Canadian commits suicide

According to reports, 54-year old Canadian citizen Erik Nikolai Sargin came to the country as a tourist and then decided to commit suicide. A note found in his hotel room explained that he would take 85 sleeping pills and then would take a plunge in the sea. His only concern was that someone would rescue him. A package of Cipralex 10mg and other unknown pills were found in the room. Sargin, who drowned in the sea off La Romana, was due to depart that same day.

His body was sent to the Inacif for an autopsy, as reported in Listin Diario.
