Presidency administrative minister Jose Ramon Peralta says that the Medina government has no ties and is not interested in business deals with controversial young businessman Karim Abu Naba’a. News reports earlier this week said that Abu Naba’a had visited the Presidential Palace on Wednesday 16 January. Peralta said there are no links between the Medina administration and Abu Naba’a. His father is known for being the main vendor of asphalt to the Dominican Republic during the Fernandez administration while Karim himself was known to be the boyfriend of President Fernandez’s oldest daughter.
As reported, Abu Naba’a had sought to meet with President Medina and had met with Danilo Diaz who denied any links with the Medina government.
Abu Naba’a has several cases pending in the Dominican courts for alleged fraud and violent acts.
