The 18-21 January 2013 Gallup-Hoy poll, with 1,200 people polled, shows PRD president Miguel Vargas (65%) former President Hipolito Mejia Dominguez (63%) and former President Leonel Fernandez (52%) with the highest unfavorable ratings.
The incumbent team, President Danilo Medina (82%) and former First Lady and current Vice President Margarita Cedeno (75%) have the best perception. Medina took office in 16 August 2012. He served as minister of the Presidency from 2004-2007.
Hoy reports that other findings from the poll include that 76% of the population is in disagreement with the tax increases passed by the Medina administration to compensate for the at least RD$187 billion deficit inherited from the previous PLD government.
