Labor Minister Maritza Hernandez says that everything is in place for starting negotiations to consider new minimum wage levels, and that business sector and union representatives would be holding a meeting of the National Salary Committee in mid-February or early March with the aim of making a final announcement before June.
The Minister asked all representatives to come to the meetings with definite proposals and their plans clearly laid out so that negotiations could be both transparent and fast and said that the Labor Ministry would act as mediator in the discussions.
