The PRD has filed a writ at the Supreme Electoral Court (TSE) against the National Police and Ministry of Interior and Police for violating their right to free association.
The writ was delivered by Eduardo Jorge Prats, representing Miguel Vargas, the party president.
Vargas had complained publically about the Police action during the incidents last Sunday, 27 January saying that from his point of view, officers had not used sufficient force to prevent the mob from destroying the party headquarters.
The hearing will take place tomorrow, Friday, February 1 at 9am.
