Medina opens new university building

President Danilo Medina cut the symbolic ribbon marking the opening of the new building to house the Post Graduate Studies Department and the new International Center for Innovation in Technology at the Pontificia Universidad Catolica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) University in Santo Domingo yesterday, Thursday 31 January. The new 10,903 square meter building was constructed at a cost of RD$400 million. Speaking during the ceremony, President Medina said that the time has come for the universities to strengthen their ties with development. He called transcendent the decision of the PUCMM to invest in research with the opening of the new International Center for Innovation in Technology.
