DR continues to lead Caribbean Series

The Dominican Republic continues to be the team to beat in the Caribbean Series taking place in Hermosillo, Mexico. Yesterday, Tuesday 5 February, the DR defeated the Mexican team, Yaquis de Obregon, 11-6. The Dominican team batted for seven runs in the eighth inning, when the pitching of the Mexican team seemed at its weakest. 38-year old Miguel Tejada batted a homerun, to keep his record in a Caribbean Series at 14 and 52 RBIs during his career. Tejada first played in a Caribbean Series in 1997 in Hermosillo, Mexico, as reported in Hoy. The Dominican Republic goes against Venezuela today, Wednesday 6 February and Mexico against Puerto Rico. The winner of the first place will then play the runner up on Thursday, 7 February for the championship. http://seriedelcaribe2013.com.mx/
