The Leones del Escogido were not able to bring home the 2013 Caribbean Series pennant. Last night, Thursday 7 February, the Dominican team lost the key playoff game against Mexico that went to 18 innings and lasted seven hours! Mexican fans celebrated as the Yaquis de Obregon defeated the Dominican Republic 4-3. Mexico has won the championship on seven occasions.
As reported, the Dominican team was ahead until the fifth inning when Mexicans had a homerun rally.
The Leones del Escogido have yet to return home with a Caribbean title.
