According to a press release from the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD), a ‘leading drug trafficker’ who was being sought by the US authorities has been arrested in the Los Reyes area of Moca.
The DNCD showed five photographs of the sumptuous mansion belonging to the accused, Jeremy Damon Garcia Lopez, who is facing 10 criminal charges in the United States. According to the DNCD, he rarely left the house, which had a pool, at least 20 security cameras, a dance floor and an indoor air-conditioned basketball court.
Garcia Lopez, also known as “El Gordo” and “JJ”, has an extradition warrant for 10 charges of smuggling heroin, cocaine and other drugs into the US between January 2001 and October 2007. Other suspected accomplices were arrested in the United States and other areas and include Ricardo Almonte Bernabel, Argely Moises Breton Blanco, alias “El Artista”, Kelvin Breton Blanco, a.k.a. “Perreo”, Jose Cruz, known as “El Socio”, Emilio Lora Delance, called “El Disparate”, and Enmanuel Polanco Rodriguez.
