Unions demand 30% pay increase

The unions have announced that they will be looking for a general salary increase of 30% in the discussions that will involve employers and the Ministry of Labor starting in March. The CASC, the CNTD and the CNUS have said that this level of increase should be applied in the case of public and private workers, including pensioners, municipal employees, military and the police.

Jacobo Ramos, General Secretary of the CNTD said that the government and employers should understand that they have to help the poorest sectors, in this case workers, especially now after the tax reform.
