Administrative Minister of the Presidency Jose R. Peralta visited the area of Lake Enriquillo yesterday, Monday 4 March with other members of the government in order to try and speed up the projects benefiting residents affected by the ever-expanding lake. He was accompanied by the director of the Dominican Agrarian Reform, Radhames Valenzuela, the director of the National Institute for Hydraulic Resources (INDRHI), Olgo Rodriguez, the contractors for the construction of the Monte Grande Dam and the project monitoring coordinator, Justo Guzman. The INDRHI has several projects aimed at controlling the flow of water from the Yaque del Sur River and directing it to the Caribbean Sea.
