A new clash between DNCD and the AG

The National Drug Control Department and the Attorney General of the Republic can’t seem to agree on key points of their jobs. The complaint by the Attorney General, Francisco Dominguez Brito, is in reaction to the “insignificant” amount of drugs confiscated by the DNCD and the immediate answer of the agency denying the Attorney General’s allegations. This is the first clash since the Justice Department took over the incineration of the drugs seized by the DNCD. The AG said that after an evaluation of the drugs seized during the month of February all over the country, they saw the need to expand the efforts used to put an end to small-scale trafficking of drugs.
