Organized camping in Enriquillo Lake

Casa Maguey makes it easy to camp by the largest lake in the Caribbean and fully experience what the area has to offer in a Friday to Sunday weekend outing. The company offers packages with or without interacting with the American crocodile in the Enriquillo Lake. Tourists stay in Coleman type tents with airbeds. A BBQ dinner is served and trip explanation at the site. Visitors have breakfast at 6am, to board kayaks at 6:30am for the tour in the lake, returning at 9:30am. During the trip, birds, iguanas and crocodiles can be seen. Next is a visit to the petroglyphs trail, with lunch at Casa Maguey. In the afternoon, a dip at natural springs and tour of the La Descubierta town is included with enough time to visit the Las Barias spring. At 7pm, bonfire dinner, with the option of dancing in La Descubierta town. On Sunday, breakfast is at 8am, with an 8:30am bike tour, lunch and afternoon tour of the Azuei Lake on the border with Haiti. The return to Santo Domingo is on Sunday afternoon with guests returning circling the Enriquillo Lake. RD$5,000 per adult without crocodile watching, RD$6,000 with crocodile watching, and children (aged 4-12) 40% discount. Children under 4 years are free.
