The Police has announced the arrest of a supposed Haitian witchdoctor who is accused of defrauding several people of more than RD$12 million, after promising them he would make them millionaires.
David Fuente Perez (El Baraco) also known as ‘El Brujo’, aged 28, who was in possession of a pistol and a Grand Cherokee SUV, was arrested by the Central Criminal Investigations Unit (DICRIM).
One of his victims, Rafael Abreu handed over RD$4,300,000 and US$90,000 and was told he would win RD$300 million on the lottery. Perez then disappeared.
He admitted to the crime and said that he had lost the money in various casinos.
