Leading Dominican violinist, 23-year old Aisha Syed will perform at the National Theater in Santo Domingo on Wednesday, 20 March. She will be playing with pianist Nigel Hutchinson in the recital Latin Passion, her latest album recorded with the London label The Classical Recording Company. The album includes tracks such as La vida breve by Manuel de Falla and Campanella by Niccolo Paganini. Aisha Syed has won major violin competitions in London, including the Soiree d’Or award as best young violinist. She won a scholarship to the London Royal College of Music where she currently studies with Loutsia Ibragimova. She is a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School in London, the first Latin American to be admitted to the prestigious music school.
