Easter Concert at the Santo Domingo Cathedral

For the first time ever, a children?s section will be singing with the Santo Domingo Cathedral Choir that traditionally performs for Easter and on Christmas Day. The child singers will make their debut during the traditional Good Friday concert by the Choir, on Friday, 29 March at 8pm. The 45-member Cathedral Orchestra conducted by Professor Jose Delmonte Peguero, Andres Capellan and Fernando Herrera will accompany the choir.

Soloists Wanda Guzman (soprano), Glenmer Perez (mezzosoprano) and child singer Wilfredo Read Roman (soprano) will be singing this year.

The choir concert is led by Cardinal Nicolas de Jesus Lopez Rodriguez and is free, but anyone wishing to attend is advised to go early to get seats.

The program includes works by the maestros Faure, Mozart, Verdi, Haydn, Webber and Ravel.
