Morales Troncoso announces Turkish embassy this year

Minister of Foreign Relations Carlos Morales Troncoso has announced that Turkey will open an Embassy in the Dominican Republic later this year. Morales Troncoso said this would strengthen the diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries. He said that more progress could be made in collaboration in technology and tourism, as reported in El Dia. He made the announcement after President Danilo Medina received the credentials of concurrent ambassador for Turkey, Hasan Servet Oktem at the Presidential Palace yesterday, Monday 25 March. The Turkish Embassy for the Caribbean is based in Havana.
