Today’s edition of El Dia, Tuesday 26 March, publishes the wages of 31,919 members of the police in the Dominican Republic. The Police force has a RD$294 million payroll. The chief of police makes RD$74,350, a general makes RD$57,828, a colonel makes RD$21,699, and major RD$17,362. Most policemen are in the police agents category, with 8,079 earning just RD$6,117 a month.
