President Danilo Medina has announced he will be traveling to Costa Rica to take part in the summit of the Central American Integration System (SICA) to be held in San Jose, Costa Rica on 3-4 May. US President Barack Obama has announced he would be attending. During the event development cooperation, bilateral trade issues, security (drug trafficking, organized crime) and natural disasters will be discussed.
President Medina will travel to Haiti on 25-26 April to participate in the Association of Caribbean States V Summit of Heads of State and Government.
