President Danilo Medina made his now-customary weekend trip on Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 April, this time visiting his small hometown of Arroyo Cano in San Juan de la Maguana province. He promised his former neighbors that he would help improve their quality of life by increasing agricultural production in the area. According to Hoy reporter Soila Paniagua, the President visited Arroyo Cano and Bohechio in his native province and he sat in on three village town meetings, where he listened to the representatives of the mainly agricultural communities and their problems.
