Luciano Santana Perez, 43, a businessman and money lender, has complained that he was robbed by four men who were wearing the uniform of the National Drug Control Agency (DNCD). He told El Caribe that he was in his vehicle on the Manoguayabo road, when two SUVs stopped him.
He said that the men, in DNCD uniforms, handcuffed him and put him in another vehicle and when he tried to escape, they shot him three times. He said that he knows two of the three men.
The supposed agents took RD$200,000, a shotgun, more than a million pesos worth of phone cards and his car, which was found a few days later in Haina.
Police spokesman Maximo Baez Aybar said that they would start investigations immediately.
