President Medina travels to Maduro’s inaugural

President Danilo Medina arrived in Caracas, Venezuela at 8:30am, this Friday 19 April to attend Venezuelan President-elect Nicolas Maduro’s swearing in ceremony. He was welcomed by Minister of Industry Ricardo Menendez, the Dominican ambassador in Venezuela, Adonaida Medina and consul general Mary Kasse.

He traveled to Caracas with Presidency Minister Gustavo Montalvo, Administrative Minister Jose Ramon Peralta, Foreign Relations Minister Carlos Morales Troncoso, Regional Integration Minister Miguel Mejia and Venezuelan ambassador in the DR Alberto Castelar. PLD senators Julio Cesar Valentin and Tommy Galan are also in the delegation. Also traveling with Medina is his personal assistant Carlos Pared Perez and Major General Adams Caceres, chief of the military corps.

The Presidency reported that President Medina and his entourage would return today. President Medina also traveled to Venezuela on 8 March to attend the funeral of late President Hugo Chavez. As is planned for this trip, President Medina left and returned on the same day.
