The Hoy-Gallup poll published today, Monday 22 April reveals that robbery, muggings and crime in general is the greatest concern affecting the country, according to 60% of those polled. In addition to crime, Dominicans told the pollsters that rising cost of living (58.9%) and lack of jobs and low wages (44%) were the two other leading concerns. Blackouts are ranked as the fourth concern in the poll. Details of the poll are published in the print issue of the newspaper.
The poll was carried out 11-14 April 2013 nationwide. It has a margin of error of 2.8%.
