Students without classrooms

A total of 315 students at the Francisco Antonio Castillo School are being taught in borrowed spaces because the authorities have not finished building their new school. However, this new school has appeared on the list of schools that were supposedly inaugurated by officials of the former (Fernandez) administration, but is only perhaps 50% completed. As a result of this situation, students from La Guazuma, which is located between Moca and Tamboril are spread out over six different places and on class schedules that include classes at night when the rooms are available. One of the teachers told El Caribe reporters that the authorities had promised the new school by last August but the construction has stopped and the building was abandoned.
