Following the opening ceremonies last night, Monday, 22 April, events for the first full day of the Santo Domingo Book Fair today, Tuesday 23 April include the Poetry Pavilion inauguration by Martha Rivera-Garrido with readings by Rosa Iris Clariot at 11am, Ela Maria Lora at 2pm, Alex German and Francisco Suero at 4pm, Carlos Tomas Sencion at 5pm, Kilos de Rap at 6pm, Luis Carvajal and Rafael Hilario Medina at 7pm, and Tomas Castro Burdiez at 8pm.
This morning, Tuesday 23 April at 11am the Cookbook Pavilion presents Petra Savinon, and Alfonso Quinones will be there at 6pm. The Museum of Modern Art auditorium is hosting award-winning Ecuadorian illustrator Eulalia Cornejo at 11am with a talk on the history of illustration in her country. At the same venue at 5pm Ecuador’s Culture Minister Erika Sylva Charvet will speak about cultural policies and good living, as reported in Diario Libre.
