On Friday 7 June, three Dominican universities, the Santiago Technological University (Utesa), the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) and PUCMM in Santiago held graduation ceremonies for 1,857 new graduates.
Utesa held an investiture for 677 graduates in their 69th such event at the Santo Domingo campus, in a ceremony headed by the rector, Priamo Rodriguez Castillo who stressed that everyone who wanted to succeed should have the same opportunities.
The rector of UASD, Mateo Aquino Febrillet led the investiture of 220 graduates in the Mao campus of their university and in Santiago, PUCMM, in a ceremony headed by their rector, Agripino Nunez Collado, with Jose del Castillo Savinon, Minister of Industry and Commerce as the guest speaker, handed out degrees to 960 new graduates.
