The recently opened Museo de la Altagracia in Higuey, on the grounds of the city’s emblematic Basilica Nuestra Senora de la Altagracia, is hosting a joint exhibition by five Dominican photographers on the theme of the eastern region. “Retratando el este: La mirada de cinco fotografos” opens on Saturday 22 June and will be open to visitors to the museum until Saturday 25 August. The photographers taking part are Denisse Espanol, Pedro Guzman, Amintore Laureano, Frank Luna and Roberto Mena.
