Long Night of Museums

The Ministry of Culture announces the celebration of the Long Night of Museums in the Dominican Republic on Saturday 22 June. Museums and cultural centers will stay open until late at night and many special events are being organized. For example, the Columbus Alcazar in Santo Domingo’s Colonial City is staging a recreation of the days of Dona Maria de Toledo and her husband Don Diego Colon. Teatro Rodante Dominicano will perform the play “Pirate Assault” at the Alcazar Plaza.

The Museum of Dominican Family announces a night of magic and a concert by romantic singer Jose Lacay. The Museum of the Casas Reales is staging Volare, a dance performance by choreographer Patricia Ascuasiati.
