The Dominican Republic will host the third meeting of the Central American Judicial Board (CJC) on Thursday 27 and Friday 28 June, and the presidents of the Supreme Courts of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and Puerto Rico will be attending together with representatives of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit and the Central American Integration System (SICA).
During the meeting they will be discussing themes of regional integration and policies about the application of justice as well as judicial security in the participating countries.
The president of the Dominican Supreme Court of Justice and of the Justice Board, Mariano German Mejia, highlighted the importance of this event for judicial cooperation amongst the countries in the region.
The Supreme Court presidents who will be visiting the country during the two-day event will include Zarela Villanueva from Costa Rica, Judge Federico Hernandez Denton from Puerto Rico, Gabriel Medrano Valenzuela from Guatemala, Jorge Alberto Rivera from Honduras, Judge Alba Luz Ramos Vanegas from Nicaragua and other special guests
