At a workshop for the preparation of a National Blindness Prevention Plan, National Health Insurance (SENASA) executive director Altagracia Guzman Marcelino said that the institution had a plan to guarantee visual health to more than 300,000 Dominicans.
According to recent statistics, Senasa has paid RD$205 million to hospitals in the Public and Mixed Network for ophthalmic services via the Subsidized Regime and another RD$119 million via the Contributive Regime to private clinics for cataract operations.
