The National Youth Symphony (OSNJ) will be playing the gala “Sinfonia Quisqueyana” at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Santo Domingo tomorrow, Tuesday 9 July 2013. This is the first symphony ever composed by a Dominican, Juan Francisco Garcia, in 1935. The soloists on the evening will be violoncellist Allyson Perez, trombonist Julio Pena and violinist Josefina Guzman, all members of the OSNJ. Maestro Darwin Aquino will be conducting the symphony.
