Castillo needs to comply with the law

News is circulating on the Twitter social network that the director of the General Office of Ethics and Government Integrity (DGIG), Marino Vinicio (“Vincho”) Castillo has not provided a declaration of assets as required by Law 82-79.

The Executive Director of civil society group Citizen Participation (PC), Rosalia Sosa, has urged “Vincho” to ensure that he submits his declaration in order to stop attacks on the institution and himself, saying that integrity means that that everything is fine and he has nothing to hide.

She went on to say that no one was persecuting his family but all that was wanted was for him to submit his legal declaration of what he owned and could prove he owned.

Vinicio Castillo was appointed last August when President Danilo Medina created the DGIG.
