The government-run vocational institute, Infotep has certified 4.3 million persons in one or more of 1,028 technical courses in a variety of skills from 1980 to 2012.
The director of Infotep, Idionis Perez says that the vocational training center will soon open new branches in Santo Domingo Norte, Santo Domingo Este, Santo Domingo Oeste and Los Alcarrizos.
Infotep gets 97% of its funds from contributions made by registered companies. Most of the courses offered are free.
