Vice President Margarita Cedeno will be speaking at the Dialogue of Social Policy for Central America, Dominican Republic and Chile in an event organized by the Secretariat for Social Integration in Central America (SISCA), which will be held 22-23 August in Panama.
Cedeno will be talking about the experience of the country with regard to implementing public policy and programs, carried out by the Social Policy Coordination Cabinet and the way they work with the health, education and social security sectors to help the most vulnerable sectors.
SISCA is a technical and administrative organization concerned with regional social integration that aims to provide better opportunities and a better quality of life in Central America and the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic will head SISCA from 2014.
Last February, Vice President Cedeno took part in an Extraordinary Summit for Heads of State and Government for the member countries of SISCA where she addressed social inequality, and development needs of the countries.
SISCA is a regional organization made up of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama and the Dominican Republic.
