New chief of the Police, Major General Manuel Castro Castillo invited New York Yankees and World Baseball Classic star baseball player Robinson Cano to a meeting with community leaders in Villa Mella, Santo Domingo North municipality yesterday, Thursday 18 July. Cano spoke to the young people, encouraging them to live productive lives.
Around 400 representatives of neighborhood groups in Santo Domingo North attended the event, which took place at the Club de Compraventeros in Villa Mella.
The Police chief says that he wants to create new ties between the Police and communities to improve security.
