Five armed men, dressed in black with military insignia, robbed a Vimenca security pick-up truck in Guerra at around noon yesterday, Monday 22 July. The pick-up truck was carrying an unknown amount of money.
Colonel Pedro Matos Perez, head of the Central Criminal Police Investigations Agency (DICRIM) in Santo Domingo East, confirmed that the event had taken place and said that his agents were looking for the perpetrators, combing the area between Guerra and Bayaguana.
According to the police report, the criminals got away with six cases full of an undisclosed sum of money. They drove off in a blue Mazda pick-up.
