Pollo Tropical, the Caribbean-inspired chain based in Miami, has opened its 35th international franchised restaurant in the Sambil Mall in Santo Domingo.
The Santo Domingo Pollo Tropical is the largest ever opened (nearly 7,535 square feet) occupying a prime spot near the cinema complex on the “Feria Level” of the mall. The restaurant features table service, full bar, an outdoor patio and the brand’s popular menu of flame-grilled marinated chicken, roast pork and guava barbecue ribs. The menu also includes a selection of new Dominican dishes developed exclusively for Pollo Tropical by Executive Chef, Mike Garcia.
The Sambil Mall is the newest and largest mall in the Dominican Republic, featuring over 200 mid-range to high-end retail outlets, a multiscreen-cinema, hypermarket, restaurants and food court, as well as a striking walk-through aquarium. This is the fourth Pollo Tropical to open in a Sambil Mall. This particular franchised restaurant is owned and operated by franchisees Mary and Rafael Pichardo from Barquisimeto, Venezuela.
