According to the National Hurricane Center in the US, the fourth tropical storm of the hurricane season has developed southeast of the Cape Verde islands. Named Dorian it is moving rapidly to the west-northwest, with sustained winds of 85 kilometers an hour.
It is not expected to cause any problems to the Dominican Republic, with the tracking showing it passing to the north of the country.
