President Danilo Medina sent a congratulatory Father’s Day message on Sunday, 28 July to the nation.
He said that as head of the family, the father should be guide, advisor, set an example, protect his dependents, and give them the support they need in the different stages of their lives.
He went on to ask God to bless all the fathers and to inspire them to be living examples to their children. The President spent the day with his family, rather than carrying out his usual surprise Sunday visits.
