Stormy weather

The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) is forecasting rainstorms for the next 24 hours, due to the humidity and instability caused by a tropical wave located over the Mona Passage and the lingering effects of former Tropical Depression Dorian to the northeast of the country.

The weather forecasters say that the storms are most likely to affect the north, northeast, southeast, northwest, central mountain area and the border regions.

Temperatures will continue to be high across the whole country. Summer heat preventive measures are recommended n drink sufficient liquids, wear lightweight and preferably light colored clothes, and avoid direct exposure to sunlight between 11am and 4pm.
