The Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism recently signed a sponsorship agreement with the New York Yankees for the 2013 season. The Dominican Republic is an official travel destination for Yankees fans.
“For more than 100 years, baseball has been at the epicenter of cultural life in Dominican Republic,” said Magaly Toribio, Marketing Advisor for the Dominican Republic Ministry of Tourism. “We are thrilled about this partnership as, like the New York Yankees, we believe in fostering and supporting the talent and passion Dominicans have for the sport of baseball.”
“We are extremely pleased about our relationship with the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic, and I am certain that a presence at Yankee Stadium will assist the ministry in generating brand awareness for its travel business,” said Michael J.
