For the first time in sports history, a Dominican woman has qualified for the semi-finals of the IAAF Athletics Championship, the leading track and field games in the world.
Mairelys Sanchez advanced to the semi-finals of the 200 meters dash with a time of 23.05. She will run again trying to make the finals tomorrow at 11:45am.
