First Lady meets women in Santiago

First Lady Candida Montilla de Medina met with women’s groups in Santiago yesterday, Wednesday 15 August, to present her projects and plans for the area, including Integrated Care Centers for the Disabled (CAID). The first center will open before the end of the year in Santo Domingo, and another is under construction in Santiago.

Martha Rodriguez de Baez from the First Lady’s office said that during Candida Montilla de Medina’s time in office, her programs have benefitted 20,760 people directly and 62,280 indirectly across the country.

The programs are ‘Citizens’ Service – Count on me,’ coordinated by Yety Guzman and Lissy Campos, ‘Healthy Women,’ coordinated by Nelson Figueroa Espaillat, ‘Culture Angels,’ run by Freddy Ginebra and Catana Perez de Cuello, ‘Intelligent Communities’ – Francisco Garcia Betancourt and ‘Childhood first’ and the Integrated Care Centers for the Disabled (CAID), whose Director General is Dr. Moises Taveras.
