Eight noisy joints shut down

The Justice Department seized speakers, computers, consoles and other equipment when they closed down eight drinking establishments in Santo Domingo, Villa Mella and Sabana Perdida over the weekend of Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 August. The Prosecutor for the Defense of the Environment and Natural Resources acted in this case and got the Tribunal for Permanent Attention of the Judicial District of Santo Domingo to order two-month closures of places like “Bebedizo Drink” and “Area 51 Drink” in Villa Mella. The closures were imposed in response to numerous complaints from local residents and community organizations.
